Herbalist with a Tradition of Excellence

Jill Keys is a respected and highly experienced Western Herbal Medicine practitioner with a career spanning over 45 years. Having graduated Dux from the Dorothy Hall College of Herbal Medicine in 1979, Jill’s practice has been built on the principles she learned from Dorothy Hall—one of Australia’s most influential herbalists. Central to her philosophy is the belief in treating the whole person, not just the disease, which forms the foundation of her approach to herbal healing.

Jill’s journey into herbal medicine began with a personal experience of successful treatment in her 20s. Inspired by the effectiveness of natural remedies, she pursued studies under Dorothy Hall, and her passion for herbal medicine only grew. Over the years, she has accumulated a wealth of knowledge, studying under renowned international experts such as Bernard Jensen (Iridology), Nancy Evelyn (Herbal Medicine), Julian Barnard (Bach Flower Remedies) and Dennis Stewart.

Jill’s expertise extends beyond clinical practice. She has held prestigious roles, including Vice Principal of the Newcastle College of Herbal Medicine from 1989 to 1996, where she also lectured and supervised clinical practice. She was a lecturer in Western Nutrition at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) from 1991 to 1993, and has been a mentor to up-and-coming herbalists since 1990. Jill has also conducted private courses in Bach Flower Remedies and herbal education, sharing her knowledge with both the public and aspiring practitioners.

For decades, Jill’s practice thrived in Sydney's CBD, where she treated a wide range of clients, building long-term relationships based on trust and results. Her reputation has spread purely by word of mouth, a testament to her skill, integrity, and dedication. Now, as she transitions to offering online consultations due to a recent physical injury, Jill continues to bring her wealth of experience to her clients, ensuring that her personalised approach to herbal care remains as accessible as ever.

Jill is an ATMS accredited practitioner and a Founding Member of Estuary Learning, reflecting her commitment to both her profession and ongoing education. Whether consulting online or in her home office, Jill offers treatments that blend tradition with modern understanding, providing customised herbal mixes and remedies that address the unique needs of each client.
